Throw boiling water into the air and it turns to snow. Little experiment we tried yesterday at -28.

It's been a weird winter. We had that temp a few weeks ago too. Sure glad I've got remote start this year.

My 17 G4 sets out all year long and has never let me down. We have not been as cold as some of you up north but have been below 0 F a few times this winter. I do notice she complains and squeaks a bit on starting but after warming up all is well.

So my mirage got stuck today lol. We had about 7" coating the driveway with a bit of drifting creating more. It was backing out of the garage and all the way down okay then it couldn't get out due to the higher harder mound created by the plow grrr. I was leaving and had to be somewhere and couldn't get out so I left it where it was and took my Tundra. Which of course easily drove right out and even though the lawn next to where the mirage was and out over the curb lol. Gas guzzlers do come in handy sometimes haha.

When I got home I used my snow blower and was able to drive the mirage right out of its little spot I dug for it lol

I think the cold weather is finally hitting us in Phoenix, the low was 32F last night and the night before and had to cover the plants. This time last year I couldn't make the drive home without the A/C on

Watch out for exposed skin! Frostbite is likely.

How is Phoenix compared to Vegas as far as summer heat?

What is frostbite? That isn't in a Phoenician's vocabulary :P

I can't say I've been to Vegas in the summer, but it's very hot (110F is normal, 115+ peak) and very dry, breezes are very hot but if you're sweating it'll feel great. The whole "20 degrees cooler in the shade" saying is very true, just stay out of the direct sunlight and it's leagues better. Our cars don't rust to death like up north, they crumble and break from all the UV rays.
