I find that so wasteful that I can't keep it, but I think your idea of painting it yellow and attracting bad publicity is a good call. The car in all honesty isn't bad, just bugs me they retracted from their word, that's what bugs me

I'm assuming they didn't put anything in writing (about covering 2/3 of the repair)?

Nope but we did have an agreement, they broke it, so I could at least consult my lawyer. It's a matter of principle than the money. Other times the dealer has been great, like their 4 hour wait for an oil change and they give you homemade cookies. Sweet, but really

    Really?

These are the least dependable brands, according to J.D. Power

Guess which brand has the most problems.

If I were a betting man, I'd say there are going to be some good deals on Fiats coming up... when the company announces they're leaving North America again. Their sales picture is pretty grim.

Oddly enough, the Fiat 500L (not X) is made at the same site as the Yugo (Zastava Koral) was!

The original factory was damaged in the Yugoslav wars, but Fiat renovated & rebuilt it and now make the 500L there.

Too bad quality doesn't seem to have improved since then

I think the new Fiat 500X is made in northern Italy Turin and Fiat probably somewhere near Slovenia I think (not Slovakia LOL) England and Italy too make some expensive machinery

Found some used riims and almost-new Dunlops, drove to the big city today for what you see here. Dunlops, again that's ok they are expensive off the shelf so that saved me hundreds from what the dealer wants

Almost 60 posts now. Not sure this thread is named correctly?

"2014 Starter Issue - Not Resolved" may be more appropriate?

I don't blame you for being frustrated!

I would find out what it would cost to have someone else do this job. Get a quote from an independent mechanic capable of doing the job, and politely ask the dealership to match that at least. I realize dealerships are out to make money, but losing customers goes against all that.

I hope something works out for you that doesn't involve a lawyer.
