Closing in on 5 years now, and the OEM factory battery is still running like a champ!

If you have a Costco membership, or know someone that has a membership, you can get a excellent Interstate Group 35 battery with 800 Cranking Amps, 640 Cold Cranking Amps, and a 3 1/2 year free replacement warranty for only $74.99 (in Central NJ). It's a great deal! The price may vary in other states. See web link below:

When I bought my 2014 Mirage last month I had a close Mitsu dealership do a tranny flush, alignment, oil change etc but I guess they didnt check the battery because I went to Auto Zone the next day just to test my original battery. They said it was weak and on its last legs. So I brought it back to the dealership, they tested it, said it was a little on low power end but was good for another 6 months. I ended up going to Auto Zone to get a fresh battery but it was a pain for them to install it. One of the metal safety clamps had to be exchanged for a slightly longer one in order to lock the new battery in. Installer said it was the most cumbersome install he has done in awhile.

Original battery here, 4 1/2 years, 66000 miles. 2 years ago Juffylube said it was no good and needed to be replaced right away. I chuckled.

Sounds like they put in a different size battery. What size or battery group did you get?

Are the battery details noted on the receipt?
