I looked at a few used SX4's before I settled with buying a Mirage, back in 2014.. didn't drive any. Interior is a generation back from the Mirage. The SX4 and Suzuki in general actually, always interested me as well. They make nice small cars to this day that aren't imported to Canada anymore.

Too bad, wouldn't mind comparing one of their lighter models to the Mirage. Their new Suzuki Swift is a nice looking small car.

    Fine by me!

FYI, I owned two Suzuki SX4s. Both were AWD, both were manual transmissions. The 2007-2009 models had a 2.0 and a 5MT; the 2010-2013 had a 2.0 and 6MT, which was a better powerplant. I really liked my 2010 with the 6MT, but when I knew Suzuki was pulling out of the U.S., I panicked and traded it in on a Forester (dumb move in retrospect).

Keep in mind these were available in both hatchback and sedan form in both FWD and AWD. The SportBack model was fun and sporty. They were never that fuel efficient and weren't all that quick, but I really did like it.

I wish they still brought Suzuki over to the Canadian market. I'm pretty sure some Suzuki's were Canadian-made, not the SX4. Like around the time when NAFTA was new when they had the Geos. Sharp looking car, I wanted one not that long ago, and I still see them on the road.. but you got no new Suzuki in Canada being sold, since maybe 2013 not sure.

My local Mitsu dealer had Suzukis new back 10 years ago, so I have seen nice ones for sale there. My kind of car the SX4 2.0 L AWD sounds sweet and a 6 speed cool

Sadly, Suzuki has pulled out of the United States, too! A 1.5L vehicle with a ladder frame underbody, low/high 4WD, & manual 5 speed transmission. Boxy & plain looking! I love it! I would be interested in a vehicle like this to compliment (not replace) my Mirage. Simple in design, but gets the job done! No vehicle is perfect for everything, but I would be interested in a 4WD vehicle like this some day. Finding a used one that is a few years old would be even better!

Sadly, manual transmissions are also disappearing in the U.S. market. If a model is not offered with a manual transmission, I am not really interested in it. Thus, I am not really interested in much these days! That's not all bad. Keeps me from wanting something else, & who likes car payments anyways?

I think the Jimny was sold in North America at some point, possibly the 90s generation of the truck. Unique and useful that is for sure

Many car brands in Canada are dropping the manual tranny as well. Too bad but you can still get a Hyundai Accent with a manual, and a new Mustang, but not a new Dodge Challenger (as far as I know). Slim pickings I hear manual makes up like 2% of sales and actually dwindling a lot more each year compounded

Manuals are becoming a generational gap thing, and also a free security system if nobody can drive one
