    CVT Owners, Assemble!

So, we hear alot about the reliability of the 5 speed manual. Unfortunately, we've gotten a few reports of the CVT dying in high mileage fleet use, and a couple not so high mileage failures. How about all the CVT owners check in with some data? Year, mileage, issues, regrets, lol? It would be nice to get a small sample from those who daily drive the JATCO cvt.

40k and no issues or regrets. Drain and refill with Eneos CVT fluid and filters at 30k.

46000 Km on my '14 and working fine.

Just regular service and maintenance done on it per the local dealer.

I'm actually still on the factory brakes still.... the crummy Dunlop Enasaves are long gone however.

My only regret is not getting keyless entry.... super handy when you're carrying stuff to the car.

    3,200 KM no issues yet.
    Yes, I realize that's only ~2,000 miles.

2015 attrage at 46000km now. I had the cvt act up 3 times and go to limp mode. But i believe and hope its due to my bluetooth obd dongle.

1st time: changed to led reverse lamps. Blinking on the dash and very rough engagement when moving off and coming to a stop. Documented on video: https://youtu.be/LGKpQPYxHOg and https://youtu.be/AC6UQbVwVwg

2nd time: no flashing but it goes to limp mode. Very slow acceleration. Eng check light came on. Name: IMG-20190220-WA0019.jpg

Cleared the fault and it was back to normal.

3rd time: 1 wk after the one above. Same thing. Cleared and it was fine.

Now i removed my dongle and monitoring .

Yeah there's been a few cases of dongle problems causing various issues. Good work on trying to figure it out, I'm sure that's one of the codes I had when we were using obd gps' in the Mirage's. That one is a communication error code.

I'm wondering if it's just the quality of the adapter (as in chinese clones). I've been using an OBDLink LX in my car (and others) problem-free.

Also to stay on-topic, I'm at 20,000mi with no CVT issues. I would expect to make it all the way through the warranty period without one!
