Hi,
I was wondering is there is any trick on the fob to open to the trunk beside getting wind or using the key?

What is getting wind? On the car's we have at work you unlock all the doors with the fob and the hatch should be unlocked as well.

My phone went berserk.
With the key fob is there a way to unlock the truck without having to get into the car or unlocking the trunk with the key
Sorry, I saw you have a G4 on your other post. Can't help you there, all ours are hatch backs and just have a key hole to unlock and a handle to open it. I couldn't tell you if there's a solenoid on the trunk latch. Doubtful.

If you don't see a trunk icon on your fob, then there is no trick.
The ES models in the U.S. have power locks that can be manipulated by the buttons on your key. For a hatchback, the hatch door becomes unlocked. Just pull the handle the same as a side door. Most sedans would have a separate trunk button.
Apparently, Mitsubishi overlooked that.
