    Programming with Autel Maxisys Mini

Apparently there's more than one way to program/activate some options on these cars. Go find a dealer that is knows how and is willing to do it, buy some programmer dongle thing and cord, download a program and figure out how to use it, and use a scan tool.

I'll post a bunch of the options I can change on a 2017' cvt. This might take a while.

First do an autoscan of the vin, then end up here Attachment 14291 One way to get to the etacs menu is to hit programming-then etacsAttachment 14292Option codingAttachment 14293Attachment 14294Attachment 14295Attachment 14296Attachment 14297
Another way into etacs is to go back to the main menu, go to diagnosis, then you can either do an autoscan every module or just manually pick the control unit.Attachment 14298 This is the meter(cluster) menuAttachment 14299Attachment 14300Attachment 14301Attachment 14302Attachment 14303Attachment 14304Attachment 14305 Attachment 14306Attachment 14307Attachment 14308Attachment 14309Attachment 14310

    I'll post more later.

What specific model # are you demonstrating? Can you give us a link?

I actually thought I didn't actually mention what model it is. But the title kinda does.
I don't have a part number but I'd have to guess it's an "autel maxisys mini (ms905)" I doubt any home gamer would spend that much on a tool to enable fog lights or cruise unless they really hated their dealer and was too lazy to figure out how to do it with a laptop.

Ahh...OK. I think I was confused when I left "mini" off the search and got a bunch of other models showing up. Is this something your shop owns?

Yeah, the shop bought it. I would have if they hadn't though. Not sure I would have picked autel but I've had no problems at all so far.
Except when I finally went to register and update it. We get free updates for a year once it's registered. So I waited 4 years to register it and by then the thing was so outdated I had to get tech support to hijack my computer and download updated firmware to an sd card so I could update the thing. For some reason they refused to just send one in the mail and wouldn't send me a link to do download it myself.
I'm sure there are other's that are much cheaper and will do the same job.

Oh, I wouldn't count on that.

    Does it do TPMS?

Thankfully none of our Mirage's have tmps. The Nissan's do and it's annoying when it gets cold out.

I'm sure I saw a tpms menu before for the Mirage. And I'm sure it showed 2 maybe 3 different tpms sets. I'll look a little more when I get another chance. There's a lot of stuff all over the place, there's a few different ways to get into etacs, and there are different setting on each menu. I found a ign cycle counter, this one car with 148k kms was started 10581 times apparently.

Hey Captain Fantastic any chance you got more info on TPMS? It'd be cool if we could figure out the Mirage TPMS and perhaps maybe add a second set of sensors.

I just have Discount Tire reprogram the sensors. It only takes two TPMS units and the blue Mitsubishi cable :/
