Years ago, I got a box set of RainX for interior and exterior. Interior is supposed to reduce fogging. I couldn't polish the glare out of it. Has anyone ever had good luck with interior RainX? (like I'm doing it wrong???) Interior had the black bottle and exterior had the yellow if I remember correctly...

Now its onto scraping the water droplet calcium deposits off my windows with a razor. I swear the owner before me parked his car by a hard water sprinkler system for weeks on end. Mothers wax with a steel wool brush works just ok. I going to try a hand razor.

Get some Nu-Finish wax and apply it to the glass. It will remove the spots.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I'll have to dump my Windex stockpile.

If you look back at my first post in this thread, you'll see that the first time I ever struggled with windshield glare was after I started wearing eyeglasses all of the time and found night-time headlight glare terrible.

As for Rain-X, at least the exterior kind, it is meant to make water stream off windshields better. I don't think it is designed to help with glare.

I never had a problem using windex or cheap imitation windex glass cleaners, but mainly we use them in the interior. The outside glass gets washed when the car gets washed, when it rains, when the windshield squirters operate.

Some windshield issues people are talking about could be related to how worn/pitted/etched their windshields are, which could be caused by a lot of things besides any window cleaners or treatments.
