I wonder if the Lamborghini & Rolls Royce forums have the same issue with penny-pinchers!

I think they would look great on Speck but I cannot justify another set of tires. Remember, I bought some from Zero a couple years back.

I still keep an eye on nearby Craigslist ads. For the past couple of weeks someone in Michigan was selling a set of four Mini Imola rims for $100. The ad has been deleted, so I presume they have sold. It took some restraint to not chase those down.

I did a little digging and found a unlikely shipping avenue: Amtrak

You can ship up to 500lbs from Portland to Kansas City (which looks like to be about a 2 hr drive from Springfield, MO). Their rates are surprisingly affordable. $105.00 for the first 100lbs and then 95 cents a pound over 100. I'm thinking that total weight for all 6 would be somewhere around the 160lb or so which would make your total costs a little over $150 bucks. Granted it's not to your door but it's not that expensive either. Insurance is cheap $1.00 per $100.00 declared value if you chose to buy that. They only provide $50 of insurance so for a couple of bucks it would be worth it. Each tire and wheel needs to be in a separate box with a name, telephone# of the recipient. They also have you complete a shipping form. From Portland you don't need a reservation, you can drop in from 8am-8pm 7 days a week! Amtrak has a separate phone number for shipping inquiries (which I called).

Thank you very much for doing that!!! I would of never thought Amtrak does that but it makes sense. KC isn't far and I am planning on going up in a couple weeks!
