    Mirage beats Corvette! (As the car with the highest U.S. fatality rate)

    Maybe not the contest we want the Mirage to win:



    This newly released study paints a not-unsurprising picture of the deadliest cars in the U.S. by distance driven. The worst offenders are sub/compacts and sports/sporty cars.

    It also lays out the most fatalities in the SUV/crossover class, and pickup truck class.

    Would this have changed your decision to get a Mirage if you'd known? Not for me - I've always willingly driven cars on the "deathtrap" end of the scale, but I drive defensively regardless of what I'm in.
