Hated by most, loved by few.

Hey guys, just found this forum a little while ago and thought I'd join.

    My name is Lars, I'm 18, and I have a 2017 Mirage ES 5MT.

I love the darn thing. Up here in Canada prices on gas is stupid, floating around $1.50CAD per liter. This thing only costs $30 on average to fill up and I only have to fill it every week and a half or so. For a broke ass college student, it carts me where I need to go and with it being a standard I still get some fun out of driving it

Hello Lars and welcome to the forum. Glad you could join us.

So how long have you had your Mirage, and how did you find the forum?

Welcome aboard. Unlike most professional auto reviewers, you have "cracked the code" about what the Mirage is designed for. The Mirage isn't designed for them...it is designed for YOU!

    Very well said Cobrajet!

Lars - I am over 3 times your age, & I like the Mirage for the same reasons. The manual is a hoot to drive. It's sort of fun filling up at the gas pump next to someone with a pickup truck or large SUV, too!

    Welcome to the forum Lars!

It is especially fun to pull up next to a big truck that has already started gassing up and finish filling my Mirage up before they are done! I did that the other day.

I've had it for almost 3 years now, and have racked up 36,000km. I found the forum from Google searching mirage mods and this was one of the only places that has actual documentation of modding it from what I've seen 😂

I live in BC, near Vancouver. Fun driving around here, but the gas has been crazy with the "war" between Alberta and BC over gas pipelines.
