While I haven't been over 80 in my Mirage yet, I have exceeded with kkkops around and been ignored...so far.

No, pulled over once for stolen car fitting the same description as my car. I showed the officer my ownership and insurance etc, and everything was good.

Then we got on the topic of fuel economy and he was very impressed with what I had to say about the Mirage.

    Nope. Not yet at least.

But, I've been pulled over twice in my Outlander Sport with my wife twice; 1) Because I apparently didn't signal. Got off with warning. 2) My license plate lights were not working, got off with warning.

I managed a 92 in a 75 MPH zone chasing a minivan. I figured out why they let me pass when I saw the state trooper on the bridge...

Sadly it is the only proof my car isn't too slow for the interstate.

Years ago I got a ticket for doing double the speed limit - yep, a real adrenaline rush. Doing 10 in a 5. The cop even exclaimed loudly, "I clocked you doing double the limit!"

Nope. No tickets for the past 13 years now.

I got my driver's license in 1979. No tickets yet!

My grandpa sent me to town one time in an emergency situation (his haybine backfired and caught the field on fire). I drove into town with my uncle's old International pickup. It had dual tires on the rear axle and a 4 speed on the floor. I drove right up to the fire department in town to get help.

Later that day after the grass fire was put out, my grandpa asked me if I had my driver's license? It was at that point that I reminded him that I was only 12 years old.

I probably could have gotten something that day, but no one cared! My dad taught me to let out a clutch on a 1948 Farmall H tractor when I was in 3rd grade. I've been driving manuals ever since, & my parents still have that old Farmall H!!!
