Do Pioneer TS-A1670F speakers fit in the doors?

Maybe someone has them installed in their mirage and can tell?
    Thanks

The factory speakers are 6.5", but they have a twist bracket built into them instead of being screwed down. To use aftermarket speakers you either need to buy or fabricate some adapters. Adapters are available from the usual places on the internet, I think crutchfield and amazon have them.

That is good to know, thank you. But i meant also if the size of the speaker fits in the door, the depth of the speaker, magnet size.

Sounds like you'll be the first. I think they'll fit just fine, especially if you get the Scosche SAMI651 speaker adapter.

Be sure to let us know how they work out.

But if i put this adapter i won't be able to put the door frame back, no? Isn't it better to just cut the metal in the door a little to get the speakers in?

Check out these threads. I think you'll find your answer in here. I don't think anyone has had a clearance issue using the adapters/spacers Eggman mentioned. Yes...you can cut the metal in the door...but why mess with it if adapters will solve the problem?
