Thumbs up Am I Losing My Marbles?

Well had my car for 24 hours now, last night settled down, glass of scotch in one hand and Mitsubishi Mirage owners manual in the other. Jesus Christ, I need a manual to understand how to read the manual. Complicated? I'd say.
You need a degree and Einsteinism to work out the CD/Radio controls. More computer technology in there than what was used for the moon landing. Have downloaded the manual in PDF form, worn out my keyboard by back backtracking
    so often.
I give up. Horse & Cart anybody?

The CD/radio controls get easy after a while, but you're right about the owner's manual. I think it was translated to English, but some of the wording is extremely funky. I think it's kind of funny, but yeah, not an easy read at all. Hope you're enjoying your Mirage! (and your glass of scotch).

Thanks dspace, frustration got the better of me, the glass of scotch quickly turned into half a bottle, still didn't sleep well so tonight it may well be a full bottle

    The problem lies with either:
    A. Drinking a glass of scotch while reading a technical manual.
    B. Drinking only a glass of scotch while reading.
    C. Drinking the wrong beverage.
    D. Right beverage, wrong technical manual.

Do you have automatic climate controls too?

My good man, I have to take you to task. How can a scotch be the wrong beverage? Simply put, it can't be.
Drinking only a glass of the nectar soon turned into half a bottle.

Yes It does have auto climate controls and, being England, it rained yesterday and found the wipers came on automatically and it has auto headlamps. Pretty soon every bloody thing will be automatic thus making the driver redundant.

What I recommend as a 6 years + non drinker now, switch to the reefer. Helps you sleep, no hangover. Stay away from edibles if it's your first time.

Other than the smoking part, objectively healthier than hard liquor.

Good heavens, cannot do without the tincture. Oddly, this boy quit smoking 6 years back, allowed more £1 notes for Gold Watch (scotch)

I'm not sure if you are talking scotch, a la cognac, or if you are talking whisky, a la American Southern Comfort. My friend in college is from Manchester, he liked to drink too, he liked wood flavoured German ales.

I prefer, beer at least good British bitter, or British Indian Pale Ale. I don't do continental Europe beer, it's akin to dishwater.
Yes I've had US whisk(e)y, Wild Turkey and Old Grand-Dad. Not too much choice here in Blighty for bourbon apart from Jim Beam or Jack Daniels. Don't do Southern Comfort either, too damned sweet.

If you like ales and try different ones, try to find the Canadian brand Sleeman's Cream Ale or any Sleemans Ale, my spelling may be off. Lots of the guys at work who are macho and drink beer don't like it, so they probably don't care for the bitter you might like.
