Thread: Ghost :: 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport ES (Garage entry)

  1. General Information
    Ghost
    2019
    Mitsubishi
    Outlander Sport ES
    Pearlized White
    5 Speed Manual

I named it Ghost because it's white and you'll probably never see another one. Ultra rare 5 speed manual transmission. 2019 was the last year for the manual transmission in the Outlander Sport. As of 2020 the CVT will be the only available transmission.

    Story time!

I've been thinking about adding a second Mirage for awhile and had been shopping around looking at 2019's. I had heard good things about Leskovar Mitsubishi in Kennewick, WA (Over 450 miles one way from me). They have a great inventory and their prices are excellent. I located a 2019 ES Wine Red 5 speed MT and it was priced less than $11,000.00 out the door. So everything is in order and I'm working out the details to make the big trip. I was killing a little time looking at the rest of their inventory and what did you know they had a 2019 Outlander Sport ES 5 Speed Manual Transmission on the lot. It was only available on the ES model with FWD only, no AWD. This was fine for me because living here on the coast I have no need for AWD. I've never seen one for real because who wants a manual transmission these days? This guy. So stop the presses.

I get back ahold of Leskovar (Geoff was my salesperson and was awesome every step of the way. Highly recommend him.). Yes, they had it and I changed plans because this would be my one and only chance ever to purchase one because 2019 was the last year for the manual transmission. 2020 onward CVT only. So hell yes I pulled the trigger.

    Out the door price: $15,898.00

No gimmicks no games. Leskovar is the real deal. I did the entire communications through email, text and a phone call. Everything was in order when I arrived and I spent literally less than 20 minutes at the dealer. The price they give you is the price. If you are in the market for a new Mirage or any other Mitusbishi model I highly recommend them. If you can drive or fly in to Kennewick, WA this dealer deserves your business.

Looks great inuvik! The manual tranny is a rarity with that vehicle. Manual SUV style vehicle seems very practical to me.

I had an RVR rental a few years back. I enjoyed the higher seating position. I wasn't ever fussy about the CVT transmission however. Wise choice going manual tranny!

Keeping my 2015 Mirage. Just as a FYI I averaged 35.1 mpg from Kennewick, WA to Coos Bay.

Wow inuvik, that's great. That Outlander Sport should last a long time for you.

Sounds like you had a wonderful shopping experience. $11,000 OTD for a Mirage & $15,898 OTD for a new Outlander Sport is awesome! I honestly feel the ES Mitsubishi packages are great deals. A base model today doesn't mean the same thing it did years ago. Base vehicles come nicely equipped. I feel that way at least, but I also remember very basic cars of the past.

Of the all the Mitsubishi vehicles, I like the look of the Outlander Sport the best! If they offered that vehicle in AWD manual, I would be looking for one myself. I wouldn't mind trading in my 2011 Subaru Forester some day, but there isn't in the AWD manual that I like better than what I have. Oh well, I save money that way!

You're the second forum member that has purchased the manual Outlander Sport recently. Only difference was he traded in his 2019 Mirage. When you can get this vehicles at these discounted amounts, it does really make one reconsider buying something used. When I started shopping for a Mirage some time back, I found it really hard to compare apples to apples. Asking for their OTD price is the only way to go! It cuts through all the crap!

I never owned a white vehicle, but they really do look sharp. White look cleaner than black most of the time. If I didn't live in a snow belt area, I would definitely consider white for my next vehicle. What I am really trying to say is your Outlander Sport ES looks sharp!

One last comment & then I will shut up! This is an example of why Mitsubishi should continue to offer an entry level vehicle like the Mirage. You want new customer to return & upgrade to something else. Plus, it's just nice to have an entry level vehicle to buy these days! Thanks for sharing your story!

Hey inuvik, what's that triangle-shaped thing in the sky above your Outlander Sport in photos three & four?

    It’s a flying rat (seagull).

Aesthetically, I don't like white, but I admit it does have some practical benefits...
