Thread: Mitsubishi bringing back the Lancer EVO!

Idiot parts are expensive. Crash your car and need a new bumper, you pay idiot tax. Buy used body parts and they'll cost the same as any other car. Some parts were dealer only like rear drums but slowly aftermarket is coming around. There's still no aftermarket stock replacement front struts that I've seen unless you order some from overseas or get coil overs.
I have a feeling a door for a Maserati might cost more than a Mirage.

Cheap to maintain isn't the same as expensive parts.

Cheaply built car is another thing even moreso.

I feel the parts are somewhat costly, like the 14" tires and few and far between aftermarket items like Fummins mentions.

So I think the Mirage is solidly built, but might be more than average for parts. So might be frugal to even have a car like that. Keep it maintained and maintenance costs will be lower right.

It wouldn't have the same engine as the Renault because it doesn't meet USA specifications. To make the Evo it would have to work for the US market emission regulations. This rumor seems highly unlikely.

Mitsubishi still sells Lancers but only in the Asian market I think.

That's exciting news. I've always dreamt of driving an Evo.
