I start with websites like rockauto.com or autozone.com. I am looking at their price somewhat, but I am also getting the proper filter numbers. These sites have you select your vehicle. Thus, the only products they show you are products that fit your car. There may be mistakes, but these companies are pretty good. I prefer rockauto.com, because they somewhat rate their products better.

Then I take that filter number, & I look for that particular filter on Amazon, ebay, or Walmart. Or just do a google search of it and see what comes up? Sometimes, I just end buying it from rockauto.com or autozone.com. It depends who has the best price. I like recliner shopping!

A Mirage cabin air filter is a pretty flimsy part. It shouldn't cost a lot of money. In your case, you have two Mirages in a way. If shipping isn't free, but a few extra and make it worthwhile. If you haven't look up parts for a Mirage on a site like rockauto.com, give it a try. It's very simple, & you don't have to figure which part # is right. They do that for you.

I searched for my 2017 Mirage above.
Thank you for the links! The issue with the defogging though has to be something else condidering my filter isnt old at all. Perhaps because the engine is so small, its not delivering enough power to the HVAC? Luckily its only an issue during a heavy storm.

A Mirage fogs up quite easily. More so than most other cars I have owned. I credit some of that to small area within the car. There is just less volume of air to begin with.

A little A/C with a little heat mixed in & directed at the windshield should eliminate the fog quite rapidly (it starts clearing almost instantly on my car). The size of the engine is a none-issue. Otherwise, all of us would be complaining about this!

You must have cold A/C? Otherwise, you would be upset about that. If you crank up your heat full blast only, does your car throw off a good amount heat? It would be easy to overlook a bad heater core living in a southern climate. A bad heater core has been an issue with some of the older models. Daox replaced his heater core. Top_Fuel has shared some good information on this topic, too.

A mix of heat & A/C is what does it for me. My manual heat dial right in the middle is about the best when dealing with a fogged up window during the summer months.

Why not just press the Auto button?

Forgive me if this has been answered.

I'm with the guys suggesting adding heat to the defog in a summer storm. I've noticed that if the defog is too cold the fog will actually be forming on the outside of the windshield instead of the inside.

All auto did was keep the temp at 70, put fans on full blast and turn of the circulated air feature. It didnt really help.

Just post a video to YouTube or other video sharing site and post a link to the video.
