Still digging it!
I have been driving small cars, on and off, for a long time.
My last two vehicles only had 48 hp. A 1983 Isuzu Imark diesel and a 1979 VW Rabbit diesel.
Loved them both.
The Isuzu diesel definitely the better motor for mileage and longevity/reliability.
The Isuzu was a bit different in that it was a high revving diesel.
But, I digress.
I believe it will be sometime yet, before I tire of the Mirage.
Handles fine although I have not done any abrupt maneuvers at high speeds.
Rides fine.
30 more hp than I need. Plus its 300 pounds lighter than the Isuzu. I think the old rabbit was about 1900-2000 pounds though.
So, yeah, plenty enough power for me
Few wishes: better radio and speakers for my old ears. Telescoping steering shaft would be nice. I cant sit fully upright because of back issues. So I lean back to take weight off spine. Arms too short. Cant move seat any closer because need room for legs. Little bit of compromise there. It is more of an issue on long trips. Short commutes I just hop in and out.
Easy to get in and out of car for me. It's one of my favorite things about the Mirage. Small cars are usually a pain for me to get in and out of, but not the Mirage.
Wish they made this in a small truck platform with 4wd.
