Thread: City fuel economy - just wondering (getting 6.8L/100 Km = 35 mpg US/14.7 km/L)

    Mine is 13L/100km which is insane. I dont know why but thats what shows on my meter. Im an newbie in driving. Hope you an give me few tips.

    Try not to exceed 2000 rpm in any gear except for 1st gear can go around 2.500 rpm. Press gas pedal gently and not exceeding 1/3 at most, 1/4 if can. As much as possible let the car rolls in neutral, time your speed so that you almost don't have to brake. Avoid braking hard! I get 5.5L in the city lately.

    13L/100 is pretty insane. CVT or manual? What's your typical drive like? Is your gauge resetting automatically (after 4 hours parked) or manually?

    Agree, it's like 2 mins air con on engine on waiting on the red light

    I agree with m4v3r1ck I was initially doing 6.8l now I'm doing 5.2 to 5.8 in city just needed to adjust my driving

    I absolutely love this little green snot, last week i have been getting 49.8mpg average. All city. I figure out that my mirage like maverick mid grade the best. Sams club gave me 34mpg all city. 7eleven gave me 37mpg average. So i will be sticking to maverick fuel with this car. Funny my 2012 nissan versa was best @ 29mpg all city.
