Question How to retain factory reverse/backup camera on aftermarket unit

    Edit:

    Hi!

So i bought a new radio for my 2013 Mitsubishi Space Star/Mirage to replace the pretty ****ty slow factory touch screen and old nav with one that has Android Auto/CarPlay support.

So i would like to retain the factory reverse camera on the aftermarket radio that only has RCA input for reverse

The factory radio has a 5 pin connector for (i think) only video feed because when i unplug that the video become black but the screen is still in reverse mode.

So the reverse sensor/signal/trigger wire is somewhere in the main power connector

Are there any wiring diagrams availbe so i know which wires are which from both the main power connector and video input connector I can't really find any info about the factory MMES E-11 radio (part nr 8750A266)

Here's a album with some photos of the radio and the connectors

I already have a stepdown converter because as you guys said the factory camera is 6v

    Thanks in advance

Edit: this is the new radio that is got https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3301...1ad84c4dXj4JNm that already got a harness for it

Is there a wiring scheme available so i can know which cables are for the camera feed and camera power. I can't really find any info about the factory MMES E-11 radio (part nr 8750A266)

I'm not sure, sorry klotespacestar. I will be interested to know how this project goes for you, I just bookmarked the link you provided. I am not sure I would be willing to lose the CD player. Looks like a good stereo and the price is ok. A backup camera in my own 2014 Mirage 1.2 would be a nice feature that I do not have however.

This is the only thing I know of, but not sure it will work with your exact model and year:
    Axxess AX-MITSUCAM-6V Backup Camera Harness

Available from Crutchfield for about $20.

Important to note that the Mitsubishi back-up cameras are apparently 6 volts, where most are 12 volt. Don't want to splice wires and end up sending the factory camera the wrong voltage!

A few days ago I connected this 12V cam on reverse light.

"Important to note that the Mitsubishi back-up cameras are apparently 6 volts..." is true, so whatever you got it works, just watch on volts, it is same video output.

Thanks for your replay but that connector wouldn't work unfortunately beacuse the factory radio that i have has a 5pin connector for video feed and somewhere in the main harness there is the reverse trigger wire.
