    Stuck CVT dipstick. (Resolved!)

I can't pull CVT dipstick out of tranny. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd hate to use excessive force and end up breaking something.

Yeah, pull harder. They get kinda stuck if they're not checked in forever. I see it once in a while even though at work it's supposed to be checked weekly.

This would happen on my '02 BMW's oil dipstick EVERY TIME I went to check the oil. I assume it was because the o-ring had hardened and wasn't pliable anymore, thus it was binding in the dipstick tube.

I had to REEF on it to get it out! Seriously, it was tug-of-war time. Sometimes they are just sticky.

Thanks, Cobrajet! I gave it a big tug and out it came. That bugger was really stuck. The fluid was very clean (the car is only a year old, 21000 miles).
