My daughter & her husband became childhood friends on opposite sides of the Atlantic many years ago because of a common interest in "Lord of the Rings". As a young girl she taught herself the Elvish language of Middle Earth. They are attending the 2019 Tolkien Convention in Iceland this coming August. A very fitting vacation for the two of them!
I am a bit off topic here!
There is a reason Hyundai i10's and Mitsubishi Space Star 1.0's and manual trannys generally sell in Europe, and not in North America:
Europe gas is way more money. When I go to Ireland and England maybe, I wonder what it will be like... driving on the "wrong" side of the road. Shifting gears the wrong side. Paying like $15 dollars a gallon equiv. for gas.
Another thing is city cars are great in their own way, but if you live in say Warren Michigan I can see why a regular-sized sedan is more preferable transportation than a Mirage, or a Hyundai Accent even. You have to drive bigger distances I feel, and the winters (well Finland must be cold in the winter)
