    Suzandy, that clutch is not being fully released. Either the cable is not adjusted properly, or the clutch disc is shot.

    The service manual describes a simple five-minute adjustment procedure that if I recall correctly requires no tools. I suppose it is possible their tech didn't follow that procedure.

    When I did this procedure, I used no tools and did not measure. I just pulled the clutch cable housing away from the bushing protrusion and turned the nut a few notches at a time until I got the setting that worked for me.

    My manual has had no such problems.
    You may want to download a factory service manual (FSM).
