    Blacked out hubcaps and wheels

Hi yall. Today I blacked out my rusty wheels and crappy OEM hubcaps. I used flat black primer, 3 coats. I got tired of looking at rusty wheels and scruffy hubcaps. I might hand paint the center logo Mitsu red. What do you think? Its my first time doing this so any advice/critical analysis is welcomed. I protected my brakes with plastic bags, although Ive read its not too bad to get a little spray paint on the rotors or shoes. Your thoughts?

I think it makes the kiwi green pop, although I heard blacked out wheels is more likely to get you pulled over lol. Chrysler300 with blacked out wheels is probably the most pulled over car in Atlanta.

    I like it.

Go Full Vader and do the rest of your car. Play the Imperial March while you're at it.

Looks good with your black accent stripe. It does pop the green a bit, too!

The OEM steel wheels get a little rusty after 40k miles in my experience. Alas cheap car cheap steel lol.

This is a dumb question for any Mirage owner with steel wheels and plastic wheel covers...

I've noticed this about almost every new car with steel wheels... The wheel paint seems to be either really cheap or non-resistant to UV light (or both). You can look at almost any new car with hubcaps and see the wheel rusting in the area not covered by the wheel covers (see pic below). I assume the Mirage is no different?
