Just hit first before reverse. Normally aligning another gear will move it enough to select another one.

Also generally helpful, pop the clutch in neutral. Get the flywheel spinning, helps.

Comes with A/C eh? My own basic manual 2014 Mirage ES 1.2 here in Canada does not have air. I guess who needs air in Canada?
Who needs a tach though? I haven't looked at either of mine since new, in the Mirage or the Micra.

Exactly! It's time to shift when it stops revving up or when pieces start coming through the hood.

Well here's my UK specced car. I didn't think about a left hooker being different to a right hander.

Yeah, I sort of missed the obvious on that one. If I lived in the UK, I wouldn't buy a custom dash cover from the States.

I never use my tach either, on my Mirage or my old Rabbit. Drive by ear.

I meant one example of a larger cheaping out on Mitsubishi's part.

No but I must have Mitsubishi Mirages on the brain a lot, because I seem to check what's happening on the Mirage Forum all the time. I heard an Elvis interview once, and he said he literally stared at his first car all night, and the next morning the car caught on fire.
