    glare getting rid of glare

A few folks brought up the issue of glare reflecting on the windshield.

A simple way to get rid of glare is to grab a black rag, about the size of a small dish towel, and place it on the dash. Glare gone!

No glare! Notice the black rag on the dash.

The rag is five years old and not exactly black any more, but does the job.
Compare the views of the traffic sign and the sidewalk on the right. You can tell from the reflections how far the rag reaches towards the right side.

I was thinking the same thing but I was afraid to ask.

If it were attached to the car, it would probably be illegal.

Seriously and no joke, that tinted top part of the windshield requires me liable to instantly present a certification document, because that tinted strip makes it differ from the originally certified model. Without that approval certificate, the car would be illegal and uninsured, and make me go to jail.
