I think you jinxed this car. Driver couldn't get it out of park. I told them to use the shift lock button on the console, car would barely move. I get there, engine, abs, traction control lights are on. Car will move but doesn't want to rev up. Brake lights work but shifter won't unlock. Me thinks electrical problems again. Or another CVT sit the bed.

EDIT: I may have to start a new thread about this thing. I went to go tow it back to the shop and it drove okay for a second, then abs light came on, it went into gear without using the manual over ride. Turned it off, restart and drove it onto the trailer like nothing was wrong. Go figure....

lol. Nope. Start car put it in drive, all seems normal. Put it in reverse abs and trac lights come on instantly, it clunks hard into reverse then feels like it's slipping. If you shift to drive after trying reverse it won't move. Turn off car restart and it'll drive forward. Me thinks the cvt may be expired.

By your description I thought it was another case of rotten wiring connectors behind the kick panel affecting the backup light circuit. Never mind.

I've got a 2017 Mirage in the shop with 380k km(236k miles). Needs an oil change and the driver mentioned the battery light sometimes flickers...Nice.
I took a video of the cluster with it running and started wiggling the engine harness in the usual spot along the top of the intake manifold. Sure enough, light started blinking instantly.
It's the same old problem. Kinda, the common over tightened factory zip ties don't appear to be over tightened. But there is the slightest trace of wear that was visible once hold down zip tie clip things were removed. The one closest to the alternator. The red wire leading to the regulator has a tiny cut in the insulation and is all green. I'll post some pics when I get time.
