    I wouldn't hesitate to suggest the Dunlop Winter Maxx 2 instead. Even though the Winter Maxx 2 tires are asymmetrical, that doesn't prohibit normal tire rotations in any way. I suspect the Winter Maxx 2 may run a little louder than the Nokian tires without studs, but I am speculating on that.

    $244.60/4 = $61.15/snow tire

    That's a good deal for 165/65r14 snow tires! If I was in the market for snow tires, I would feel good about that deal!

    If someone felt they needed 165/65r14 studded tires, then the studded Nokian Nordman 7 becomes a more obvious choice. Since you live in Minnesota and studded winter tires aren't really legal, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Dunlop Winter Maxx 2 snow tires at that discounted price.
