I don't place much value on the TMPS system. It's just an idiot light as far as I'm concerned. NOTE--I an NOT
    inviting debate on that question.

I just want to know if the light can be disabled.

Edit - Yes, you can disable TPMS in a Mirage. Skip ahead and start reading at Post #14 of this thread.

Thanks, Top_Fuel. Yes, I checked and only found one that worked with a different model of Mitsubishi about 7 years older than my 2015 Mirage. Also, the almost $60 dollar price tag stretches my idea of an "easy way" to disable the light. Ha, ha.

Yeah...that's not a $10 fix even if it works.

Fortunately there are reasonable aftermarket options for replacing TPMS sensors now. I just replaced all 4 of mine (including installation) for $140.

I'm really surprised that it's not an option that can be just turned off in the system. Surely, there's some country somewhere that doesn't require it?

I'm right there with you. I don't have TPMS in my wheels, and don't miss them. Wouldn't mind not seeing that yellow light on my dashboard. (and yet, I'm too lazy to cover it with tape?)

The following clip shows how to change items in ETACs. The purpose of the clip was to show how easy it is to enable cruise control on a Mirage. As he is scrolling through the various options that can be changed, positions 38, 39, & 40 are devoted to TPMS. My guess is one of those items would allow you to turn off the system.

If you don't want to look through the entire clip, TPMS shows up around 6:45.

It can certainly be turned off. You just need a $3,500 MUT3 or other emulator software to do it. No dealership will do it because as of 2008 TPMS is required by Federal law.

    I don't believe TPMS is required...or even available...in Canada?

That seems worth my checking on, though perhaps as technical as learning how to install sensors on a new pair of rims--one thing not having the light working would avoid.

Somebody with that Russian ETACS emulator needs to give it a try!

I'm thinking about buying a Mini VCI kit and trying this out. Seems like there are several options I wouldn't mind changing.

But, I've got too many other projects going on right now. Gonna wait a bit.
