    Doubtful. It's rolled over 100k.

The MG brand mats even look new.
Those things have been available as reproductions for at least the last 30 years.

Looks wise is another biggie for this car. If you're gonna sink your time and money and effort, this is a good classic to go with. I think Loren asked if 1966 mattered, and yea totally matters I have to say it's like curb appeal with a house.
I was speaking more to technology. 1966 tech is a bit different from, say 1972 tech. Brakes, electrical systems, safety standards, etc. They made MGB's through 1980 with very little change in appearance. They didn't even put the ugly rubber bumpers on them until somewhere around 1975.

    Simplify and add lightness.

I might end up with more than I bargained for. I did the math also and I'm not sure my budget allows for this car, even though I think if I modified things I could probably make it work.

Again looks wise I have to say this MG has the lines of an Aston Martin DB4, like the car in the old movie The Birds.

I agree with Loren. The seat's don't scream low mileage. Hate to shoot down another dream car car. It may be worth that much if it were in far better condition. I'd be worried about rust where you can't see. The trunk looks odd, like they undercoated it. The lh rear inner wheel well looks a little scabby where it meets the floor.

Here's your meter to judge by. I consider BAT to be a pretty fair barometer of the car hobby value so it will be interesting to see where this ends up over the next two days.

Note that the ad says: "odometer 11,950 KM".

While technically correct, it may not necessarily be the actual kms on the car!

It's much more likely to be 111,950. That's the trouble with 5-digit odo's.

Yes it is a lovely color. And that car was a well sorted driver and it went for 10,500. Adding to the point of this one being too expensive.

The green one has a non original motor. That matters to some, like me. It also has it's share of hidden areas and I think $10.5k US is too much. I saw a nice red one at a drive in meet for $7.5k CDN last summer. It really was in great shape, not concours but very close.

I realize the green one is a repaint. The car of all time I should have bought was a 1970 or 71 original owner Monte Carlo, for around $6000 many years ago, with no money at the time for a dream car. The Chevy was bland a bit, but the style was just right.

I found this 2006 Evo IV for sale, on the Bring a Trailer auction website. The website that someone mentioned on the Mirage Forum the other day.

Look at all the interior parts still being used in the Mirage:

The MG is a hard one to peg price-wise. Looks go a long way with the car, and my neighbour has a friend with one who visits sometimes. I dont know them, but you drive by the car right and get ideas. Sure its envy or whatever but still.

My laptops keyboard is a French model that was reduced no return at staples. Asus, so it stays cool and you cant go back. But the keyboard is messed up so I cant actually use puncuation properly sorry.
