I found the F7 port vacant which i think is meant for the DRL. I think that can be used.
    Yes .. you can.

I don't remember which of these slots are switched and which ones are not.. so you'd better check with a voltmeter.

What a sweet mod! I have realized that LEDs will be my savior for cabin floor, console, back seat and trunk lights. I'll try my best NOT to create and Asian rolling lamp factory. LOL.

For your purpose, a relay would not be necessary.

this is how I stuck it onto the headlight. i did not want the sequential turn light so the wiring is conveniently on the other end. if i wanted the sequential light the position of the led strip would be the other way around (wiring is in the front under the headlight instead of at the back end.

here is how i routed the cable. i snipped a hole on the grommet going to the cabin and wrapped electrical tape over it and the cable to sort of water proof it. anyway thats the way the factory secured the other cables so should work.

decided to pull down the bumper and install 6x30 bolts on the tabs supporting it on the body. over time the tabs stoop down so decided to put those bolts on as well since i was doing work on the lights anyway.

oh and I installed a 4 lead switch. switch i chose was for a toyota camry..duh...haha
but it fits, although i had to sand off the corners a bit since they were a bit tight there then sharpied the sanded parts to make them black again since the sanding exposed the plastic.
