    2014 rear brake shoes???

Tried to get my rear brake pads changed this week. They bought oreilly ones but they didn’t fit and I’m not seeing anything here unless it’s buried in a thread. Is there any other options for them or is it stealership only still? Thanks guys.

Did mine a couple of months ago at a brake shop. I was there for 7 hrs. They ordered 2 different aftermarket types. Neither fit. The shop owner ended up having to go to a Mitsubishi dealer and buy them himself. Your at pretty low miles for new drums. Unless your hearing nasty sqeaks, Id just replace the front pads, they do 80% of the heavy lifting anyhow. Those back drums should last 80k plus miles was what I was told by the shop owner.

I replaced all 4 of my brakes at 50k miles. I dont plan on messing with rears till my ride hits 125k miles and just keep replacing the front pads every 30k.

Back has brake shoes, not brake pads. Honestly, at 58k they likely don't need to be done yet.

Two different mechanics have confirmed the need for back brakes. I found the ones you reference on eBay. Now listed at $40ish per shoe not set. All the listings say to adjust quantity in your cart before checking out. That makes them more expensive than the dealership at $65 for the pair

So this looks to be about the best deal for OEM shoes on-line?

edit - Shipping is almost $15 on these. So this is one of those parts where buying from a local dealer isn't such a bad idea.

I don't know - the set Cobrajet used is pretty reasonable on Rock Auto.

You know...I didn't even look there.

Unless Remy is in a hurry, the shoes that Cobrajet purchased on eBay (Raybestos 1059PG) are only $14.59 + shipping on RockAuto...

I don't think I have ever seen brake shoes marketed at one shoe each. How would you select the front shoe from the rear shoe?

They are always sold in sets. All four shoes are the same on these cars. The only difference is which one you attach the parking brake lever to.
