Chad, here's one off the web. My interior layout is similar, except my 2017 ES has no controls on the steering wheel. It got overcast here, so this pic is better than what I could post currently. I'll get one of mine uploaded soon, though.

The UK is small car heaven though lol. If only we had the selection yall have over here in the states. Instead we got giant-assed trucks with $500 a month car notes and 12 mpg. My fav are the guys that own these monstrosities and yet work in an office. Unbelievable. I wonder why some Muricans feel the need to have these giant vehicles? What are they making up for? What does that say about Mirage owners? Mmmmmmmm.........I wonder?

I get where you're coming from. I come from London and the joke is that the majority of mums & dads in and around Chelsea, Kensington and other upmarket areas take Johnny & Jemima to school in totally inappropriate transport, mainly Range Rovers and the like. The Range Rover has the moniker The Chelsea Tractor. I used to have big cars myself but as one gets older ones needs change, now I have no need to haul around a gas guzzling car, I had a 3 litre Granada in the 80's, if you stamped on the accelerator you'd watch the speedo go up but equally the fuel tank needle was falling. Around town 17 mpg if you're lucky but it was an auto.

Sorry for the ignorance. What do you mean with that? Amortization, redemption, traffic fines or anything else?

Huge 4wd pickup trucks like those Dirk is describing are often called "Pavement Queens" or "Bro-Dozers" here.

In the area I am in they are usually owned by military guys.

A monthly payment of $500 to the bank who financed the vehicle.

Don't forget a fuel bill that in many cases matches or exceeds the monthly note.

What I can't fathom up here gas is $5/gal, more or less, rarely less. It's not unusual for truck owners here to fill up every 3rd/4th day @$100.

Yeah but Fummy your the epitome of who should have a big truck. You go offroading all the time, you use it for work, and you haul big trailers. We're talking about frat boys who do none of that, only double park in front of the Whole Foods with a giant Salt Life decal on the back cab window lol. Those douchebags deserve nothing but contempt in my opinion.
