Id imagine places like The UK and the pacific northwest eould have like independent ma & pa type wiper blade manufacturers on account of the rain.

My left driver's wiper same deal, replaced after less than a year from my new car purchase.

My back wiper has been replaced 3 times anyways, now I just don't use it, or just use the back wiper sparingly, knowing full well what Mitsu charges for a replacement.

On the topic of wipers, my passenger's side wiper washer nozzle stopped working. The other month the left one didn't work. I dunno
Wow, never heard of a wiper lasting five years, does it not rain on your part of the planet?
I change my wipers regularly, maybe every 12-18 months. As for a washer nozzle not working over here it's offence, as is buggered up wiper blades.

WiperBlades.co.uk own brand blades are good
I have actuallu used WiperBlades.co.uk a few times Adam, got a set from them for my Skoda Fabia. My son, he don't like spending pennies, also uses them. I've never tried their own branded wipers. I wonder who makes them.

Surely you're not implying it rains here alot Dirk, are you?
But you'd be right mate, fortunately not ever as bad as Japan has just suffered.

I have beam style on my Vue. I don't know the mfg. They were on it when purchased. They worked well. I'm installing a set of Anco beams on my Mirages today. Only the RHS is getting the Anco beams. I already had LHS Rain-X Latitude in my inventory. They are also beam style. If nothing else on a beam style there are few fewer crannies for ice to form.

I'm pretty sure he drove less in 5 years than the average person does in 1-2.

    I drive around 20,000 km's a year. Maybe a little less.

I guess I just got lucky with the Bosch wipers I purchased.

My bad, for some reason I thought you had way under 100k on your car.

Has anyone else heard that wipers can be refreshed by periodically cleaning the blades? I think I picked that up around here somewhere and found it works. Well, it works for me anyway.

Yes, and dry blades can be rejuvenated as well. The compound to do that eludes my brain at the moment.
