I haven't heard of any compound. Just wipe clean with a moist paper towel like what you find at a gas station while cleaning your windows.

I'm pretty sure he drove less in 5 years than the average person does in 1-2.

I change my wipers 12-18 months irrespective of miles driven. I hate a windscreen I can't see through clearly.

Has anyone else heard that wipers can be refreshed by periodically cleaning the blades? I think I picked that up around here somewhere and found it works. Well, it works for me anyway.

With the original wipers fitted to the Mirage which were fitted to quite alot of cars I had I used to use vinegar. Worked well too.
