    205/50-15 tires

I would like to hear from anyone who has installed 205/50-15's on their car. I'm planning to swap my winters with 205/50-15's on 38-40 offset aluminum rims.

I have VW springs on that rear that were the same length as OE, but gave me a FULL 2" lift on the rear. This will hopefully be a factor in helping solve the issue some owners have wider rear tires rubbing.

Front springs have a booster, but it gave only 1/4" of lift.

I am running 195/50R15 tires on 15X7 rims. I also did the rear spring swap. If the fronts don't rub then you should be OK.

So you are talking 15x6.5" wheels with a 40mm offset. I am running that exact size wheel (details here). I am running 185-55 tires, but I would imagine the 205s you are considering would fit and probably not rub. The size difference is not that extreme compared to my tires.

A 6.5" wide wheel with a 40mm offset is a very conservative, safe size on a Mirage for a 15" wheel. You can play with the numbers on this site: willtheyfit.com
