    Piano black trim cleaning

Anyone have any product recommendations that clean and take the smudges off the center console trim?

I use an all cotton T-shirt and water only. No swirl marks or anything.

Wrap it in a matte vinyl so it doesn't show wear and scratches?

No really, microfiber cloth and alcohol or water only does the trick. Mine is usually covered by said microfiber cloth since it's a giant mirror for the sun (same with the accents on the steering wheel).

Thanks, guys. Water and cloth seem to be the consensus.

A product called CLR which is basically an acid, I forget which, not suphuric but anyhow, used with CARE it will deal with anything you want removed from glass.

Little trick I learned from a detailer is 0000 steel wool. Makes glass slick as can be. Half of the forum will surely lose their minds when this is suggested however, so YMMV lol. But it worked great for me.

Thread got hijacked a little; I hope nobody just glances through and uses CLR or steel wool on their piano black interior trim!

Finally, a topic worthy of a Friday discussion.

Problem is we already own and drive the most disliked car in North America so the controversial subject matter probably won't have any effect. We're already out of our minds.
