And while I'm glad to see an updated Mirage, I just wonder how long Mitsubishi can continue offering "new" cars that are really just old cars with new front ends. I'm not hater (I own four Mitsus), but just wondering. Maybe the Mirage is in that "if it ain't broke" category.
Its the cheapo lil brother of the Alliance lol. New front ends for tried a true cars is a big deal for Mitsubishi. Now if only Suzuki would come back, just no more rebadging Daewoo bs that got them thrown out of the US market in the 1st place. The Suzuki Swift, Vitara, and Kizashi were all pure Suzuki, built in Japan. Miss those cars.

Ford did the same thing with the f series. 1980-1997 were basically the same platform with small face lifts and minor changes in 87 and 92. The cab and frame remained pretty much untouched other than the dash and they stopped drilling huge round holes in the frames to save weight in 81 or 82. Attachment 15915

Yeah, it may be an instance in which people don't really care if the car is all-new or not. It's frugal, inexpensive, and reliable. I mean heck, the North American Toyota Yaris was essentially unchanged (sans front end, some sheet metal changes, and revised interior from 2006–2019.

Frankly, I hope they don't come out with any major improvements, or I might want another!

atleast for older models, we can upgrade the rear lights and bumper i think, if they use the same with the older models.

The previous LED taillights were plug and play for the 2014’s & 2015’s to replace the standard bulb taillights. So should be. If so, I wanna get a set for my ‘15. I’m also waiting for some 2020 Outlander Sport to start getting wrecked so I can snag the new LED taillights for my ‘19 OS/RVR/ASX.

Good to know inuvik. I'm not sure how long my own 2014 tail lights will last. Same for my battery etc.

I have to say I don't like the front end of the new Mirage's and G4's. Is that red horizontal stripes on the front grille, and old VW Gti circa 2004 alloy rims? I'm not sure that I understand where the style direction is going with Mitsubishi these days.

They aren't changing their cars, but making them have new faces.

These look like the same pictures as what is in the other thread:
What can we expect in the next generation 2021 Mirage? Micra platform Speculation

Thanks for posting them mitsumi. Maybe we ought to keep all the facelift posts in one thread (I don't think Mitsubishi is making a MirageX...) But no matter where they wind up, keep those pics coming.

Any idea where these pictures are taken or where they were first posted? I wonder if they are headed in to the auto show (although the background looks more like a dealership.)
