57k unless the previous owner changed them out 1st. The Mitsu dealership I got the car from had these on them and they didnt look that great to begin with. This will be the true test to see how bad my alignment truly is.

I doubt they were your original stock tires. Bridgestone tires are a common replacement for factory Dunlop tires.

"Barum tires are a tire manufacturer in Czechoslovakia founded in 1948 making them one of the oldest, most established, and trusted name in tires in Europe for well over 70 years. According to their timeline, in 1993 Continental Group who, you guessed it, makes Continental Tires, took over Barum Tires. Continental Tires, if you didn’t already know, is a German Tire maker that’s over 147 years old and you know they have a solid reputation with their tires showing up on OEMs."

Hopefully Discount Tires carry these, because they have been a good entry-level tire for their customers.

I have never really heard of Barum tires, but I hope they work out well for you!

Drive safe! Does Mr. Sprinkles ever accompany you? He'd be a great co-pilot.

Well just drove 8 hours today for uber. Made $158.00 minus the $12.50 to fill up my half full tank after all that driving. Well its good and bad news.

    The Good:
    1. a little less road noise vs my bald Potenzas
    2. ate pot holes and speed bumps like a champ
    3. has improved my ride comfort definitely coupled with the soft suspension I happen to love
    4. Grip made cornering and handling better
    5. the tread is extremely deep, I think even with a bad rear axle I can get 40k miles out of these.
    6. With the blacked out hubcaps and wheels my tires look like they're alot bigger than they are.

    The Bad:
    1. I went from avg after 8 hrs of mixed uber driving from 42 mpg to 37 mpg, I never got over 37 mpg but it never went below 36 city/hwy either. Thats still good but not fantastic mpg. Honda Fit mpg almost.
    2. The Barums weigh 2lbs more per tire than the Potenzas
    3. I can feel a small amount of power loss in the engine having to drag along these bigger tires around. Nothing drastic, but its there.

Overall Im happy with my choice but in a couple of years I might switch to those 165 Federals.

Dirk, do you calculate your distance traveled by GPS and compare it to your odometer? It may be the larger tires make up the difference in fuel economy?

Yes...don't forget that with these slightly taller tires, your car is traveling approximately 2.5% further than your odometer indicates. So if you drove 100 miles today, you actually went 102.5 miles. It will make a difference when calculating your fuel mileage.

Here's a comparison of the factory Enasaves vs the tires you have now...

Also...don't forget that whenever you change from worn out tires to new tires, you will lose a slight amount of mpg even if you are using low rolling resistance tires. A worn out tire has less rolling resistance than a new tire.

The taller tire is a consideration and the fact theyre brand new but even with that said it would amount to maybe 38 or 39 mpg? Arent our mpg gauges a bit optimistic to begin with? Thanks for the input guys, I always look forward to the insights on here. : )
