But only if you're getting paid for watching Youtube videos.

Well, I can't recall what I did to this car in the end. It's running fine right now at 264,500km/164,000miles. Just took it for a drive and it pulls hard, accelerates better than my own. The 17' I was having issues with a little while ago is still running fine too. It's been a while since I've had to replace an entire cvt.

    Any update on this vehicle?

    No news is good news.
I did have a driver of a different 2015 with around 250,000km tell me the shift indicator was flashing twice last week. Didn't notice any drive ability problems. I just did a drain and refill this morning as the fluid was getting dark. It's been getting up to 31c/88F here lately. That's too hot, I'm going back to the bush in 3 weeks where the high was 21c/69F lol.

Fummins... Have you ever attempted to monitor the CVT fluid temp with a scan tool?

Yeah when checking fluid level. It took a long time to get them up to temp driving under 40mph. Leaving it in "B" or S or whatever that other mode is seemed to heat things up quickly though.

I'm asking about monitoring the temp because the issue came up in this thread Dirk posted last week. I figured if anyone had seen fluid running hot in these things, it would possibly be one of your cars.

I just drove the car in now, it took a few seconds to get it into drive like an old automatic feels when it's low on fluid. It is -15c or so but I just drove 2 other frozen cacke stiff cars and they went into gear just fine.

No flashing lights right now and no check engine lights either. I'll scan it and see wtf is going on.
Update. Car is still trucking along with 350,000km(217,500miles) on it now.

It's good to know that throwing a CVT code doesn't necessarily mean your tranny is toast.
