Did anyone install one of these rear view cameras from AliExpress that fits into the spot of the number plate light?

Here is an example

I have the unit with the screen, navigation, CD, radio etc. there is an input for that right? And I already know how to activate that

I've never bought anything from aliexpress. If I'm not mistaken the license plate light on our cars looks different from the pictures on the link.

Aliexpress has been good and bad for me. Clone EOtech scopes have survived 30k rounds. A Win10/Android tablet (amazing specs) broke just after the warranty expired.

I doubt the plastic mounting strength longevity.

If the camera is mounted inside the rear window it will be better protected from weather, vandals and thieves. Plus, it will eliminate drilling holes in your vehicle to pass wiring through. There are rear-facing cameras designed for this purpose.
