Should have a Kilmer trigger warning before that link!

What a doofus. I could only watch a couple of minutes before I had to turn it off.

I love how he waves his arms around talking about dangerous new cars when any car he lists will be safer than the '90s Toyotas he drives.

    Uggghhhhh...

Yeah, he's a salesman for his brand. Loud, obnoxious... telling you what to think from his opinions...the automotive equivilant of Bill Nye the science guy.

Except Bill Nye promotes reason and truth.

Ah, yes. Reason and truth from a man with a bachelors in mechanical engineering pretending he's a scientist and climate change expert. He'd have more credibility hosting a YouTube channel on cars.

Anyone can promote reason and truth - no degree required. It could be Nye, a trash collector, a hospital orderly, etc.

Thanks for letting me know about the video, it saves me from watching it.

The ironic part of this thread is that it exposes a lot of ignorance & misinformation from individuals I typically respect.

For what it's worth Scotty & his wife mainly drive a Toyota Matrix and a Lexus. Scotty bought a 2003 Lexus with 60,000 miles on it for his wife to drive. He paid $3,000 for it at the time.

I really doubt many people take Scotty Kilmer all that seriously! It's a good thing a thread of one post done back in November can be resurrected & create such a stir in some members!

    Scotty bad! Me good!

Another great day for the mirageforum.com!!!!

That's why I stopped watching the video! (Specifically the Smart car reference.)
