Exactly, prochronism is a type of anachronism. Both prochronism and parachronism are types of anachronisms, the former being artifacts being placed in the past, and the latter being events or things being placed in the future- like Abraham Lincoln meeting Clint Eastwood in the year 2000 (or today).

"In March 2016, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announced the manufacturers of 99% of U.S. automobiles had agreed to include automatic emergency braking systems as standard on virtually all new cars sold in the U.S. by 2022.[17]" from Wikipdia

This is emergency braking that would be standard/mandatory by 2022, so it is no surprise that the 2021 Mirage has it, since it will be standard the next year anyways.
I personally feel I am a good enough driver to hopefully never need to use such an emergency brake system, but I think it's probably a good system as long as it doesn't give too much control to a AI robot making poor/faulty decisions.

The new Mirage is UGLY. Well, maybe I need to reflect on the style more. Seems like they took a lot from the GTi playbook, with the red accents on the grille, and the plaid seats. 1985 anyone?
Purple is actually referenced in the Book of Exodus, which pre-dates Christ by a few hundred years.

Few hundred years? You means thousands of years my friend. The Old Testament was way more entertaining to me. It had leviathans, giant half angels, waaaaay more magic, men that lived as long as Master Yoda, the ante-diluvian period or pre-flood was a fascinating time. Its where Atlantis comes from according to some.

I'd love a Sand Yellow 2021 top-spec car with the plaid seats and a 5-speed. But I am sure Mitsubishi won't build me one...

Why not? Order one this summer for a '21 Mirage. Factory order from the dealer, like how I ordered my Mirage in thunder grey back in 2014. Yellow Mirage.. I dunno. They did that already, back in 2013 for the non USA/Canada market. Except I would never buy more than one of the same car.

I keep seeing "80HP" being tossed around when referring to the 2020/2021 non-US Mirages. Anyone know if this is the case? If so, where did the extra 2HP come from?

No way. Stickers add at least 10 HP each.

Edit: I just checked Mitsubishi's website and it seems like a mis-assumption, Still 78HP.

    From Mitsubishi UK site:
    PERFORMANCE FIGURES
    The numbers tell the story
The Mirage produces the maximum output of 59 kW (80 PS) at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 106 Nm (7.8 lb.ft) at 4,000 rpm.

So...80hp in UK. Metric horses are different.
