Next time try turning off ASC. It works great but it’s a weird thing with a standard transmission. It kills power to the engine if it detects wheel spin. It’s especially weird when starting from a slippery stop because it cuts power from the engine and it seems like your about to stall so you wind up stepping on the gas more which spins wheels and activates ASC and makes for a really hilarious downward spiral until you shut it off. Guess how I know.

The updated design is certainly (from an objective standpoint) more modern. It's definitely easier to stomach the asking price for the car with the new look. They really need to start making the body-color-matching side skirts standard - the car looks "finished" that way.

That being said, the new look is much more aggressive (hot hatch-y) than the old one and is therefore probably appealing to a different demographic. For my tastes, the gen 2 facelift is a better fit. To each their own, though!

So do they have voice activated talk text in the Mirage now? Cobrajet looking through the pictures I saw a extra button by the phone controls... Looks like voice assistance or something? Like Siri or Google? That's crazy that it's also on the bare bones ES model too!

The 2014-2015 ES models had this same button. It was for making hands-free Bluetooth calls, but that was with the old radio and Bluetooth module. I assume voice control is something the Android/CarPlay radio has?
