-Is a Mirage cool? Ummmm no. If you tell someone you just bought a Mirage chances are they're gonna say "what's a Mirage" or "why would you do that?"
-The Mirage is a Poor persons car. Yup, if poor people aren't driving a financed Mirage they're driving around in an old escalade or navigator. Or Armada lmao!
-You're not gonna get girls if you drive this car. If you don't have much going for you don't expect the Mirage to be your wingman! Come on now lol.

I wasn't sure at first but the Mirage does have enough power to be a daily driver. Just enough. It's a weird feeling seeing a cop then instinctively let off the gas and look at the speedo and notice you're barely doing the speed limit but it feels like you're going over.
I dunno, in my city Im constantly getting compliments on my lil green avocado from downtown, hipster chicks. My car color often matches their hair and once you mention the ECO friendly aspect of the Mirage, well hell. My back plate doesnt say "PNTYDRPR" for nothing.

Ha! Unless it breaks down so often it leaves you stranded and/or at the repair shop.

What I'm saying is in the end, the car's design and construction matters. That's one thing that scares some folks away from little cars.

Dont get me wrong, Im sure in your neck of the woods, this car could be looked on with disdain from country girls. I just happen to live in a very liberal city where gas guzzlers are sometimes derided and ECO is sexy. Just place 15 Tredeau stickers on the back glass and move to Vancouver Fummy I mean Jeeeeezzzzz. PS my new pronouns are twasn't and tweren't, please and thank you.

I don't know how it's looked upon. I quit caring about what I drive once I bought a house and had kids. Well, even before that. I can't say a cream colored 85 Escort with the "pony" package was cool, not even when someone wrote bologna on the fender with a jiffy marker above the pony decal. I had an 86' excel with a crudely drawn picture of a gentleman sausage on the drivers side rear window too. Then I quit driving people to work lol
