I have always found these sorts of mods are neat ideas, but I might regret the decision later.

Like to not be a 100% stock car. I might start stockpiling random parts for my Mirage. Because it will be much harder to find a replacement bumper etc....lLike down the road.

I have owned my Mirage almost 6 years now, and 100%, no mods...only different wheels. However, it is funny to say that the mod gallery on the Mirage Forum here, is how I found out about the Mirage Forum in the first place.

So, I have thought of modding my Mirage before, many times, for sure.

And that's the best way to keep your costs down. Keep the money in your pocket, not someone else's.

Keeping costs down is my number 1 priority driving my Mirage. Save money on gas is a big part of my cost savings pie.

Owning my Mirage long-term is another key part of the strategy.

After 6 years of owning my Mirage, this year I am having to put some unexpected money into my car, even though I naively thought I would have 100% trouble free, extra-cost free driving for 10 years.

My dealer is 90% of my issue with Mitsubishi. My Mirage is a nice car, but it is not bulletproof for sure. With my starter issue, and now my fuel filler/evap leak that hasn't been fixed after 7 dealer visits. The runaround.

I bought the 10 year warranty the day I bought my car. Sorry to go on an tangent lol just my car issues lately have been very annoying.

Im going thru the same thing, with the G4 heater core. They keep dodging me like child support payments.
