I know 2 people who had their first ever legal pot crops cut/stolen right out of their back yards this fall. I'll have to tell them they should check their insurance policies!

My Mirage can go the entire Maine winter on a single tank of gas - and still have most left in the spring.
Skills: Cage fighting, computer chatting, making sweet moula

mornings have been epic even in -10 plus wind chill weather using a block heater and garage stored...hit 4.7l in no time. 4.2l on milder days. The problem is coming home. Hard to get to even 5.5l due to it sitting in a cold exposed parking lot all work day. I usually do a couple laps around the lot before I head out in traffic to get the engine warmed up a little. The second I head out its stops and go and I hate idling with a cold car...destroys my mpg
^ motivation to get a block heater for mine soon.

In the mornings by the time I get to work the cluster is showing 5.2l/100k without trying. I park in a heated garage at home but have no plug in at work.
On my way home or on days when I have to take kid to the dayhome it's not nearly as good with slower stop and go traffic most of the way. Installing winter moccasins on Saturday so I'll see how they affect mileage.

Here are my factors on why my total fuel mileage has gone down:
- Snow Tires (all 4 tires). These do not roll as easily as the LRR tires on my 13" wheels.
- Warming up the car for 3-5 minutes before EVERY commute (during work), so thats about close to 30-50 minutes total of idling (working 5 days a week)
- Colder Air
I'm not surprised. It's a given for me since the air is much colder, the snow tires, and warming up the car. My mpg gauge is telling me i'm averaging between 38-41mpg on the highway. Compared to the summer where it's showing 48-51mpg. During the winter season, my overall fuel drops about 20% to 25%, the amount of snow we get is also a factor since the car, any car really, we have trouble with grip with several inches of snow on the road.
