    New to forum

Hello . 2019 red Hatchback with 6200 miles. Purchased new in July 2019 to replace the 2019 grey hatchback I purchased In May 2019 that was totaled in a crash with less than 2200 miles . Wasn't my fault BTW .
Thanks for this forum and allowing me to join .

Hi Gj1962, that is some story. I hope you enjoy your '19 red hatch. The Mirage Forum is a friendly scene for sure.

I make sure to tell as many as I can to buy GAP Insurance . I was on the hook for $2300 of the loan eventhough it was someone else's fault .

Yep. Insurance companies pay you what the car is worth, not what you owe on it. And a new car can be worth 20-25% less than you paid for it as soon as you sign the papers.

    Oh, and welcome!

Yeah, my wife was in the same boat. Owed way more than the car was worth then got in a head on(other guys fault). Those damn low interest 84 month car payments lol. I think she has replacement value insurance on the new vehicle. I should know these things I guess..... My sister was in an accident years ago in some hyundai she overpaid and bought through a roach financing car lot. At the time of the crash she owed what the car was worth. The remainder of the car loan was paid and the car was a total write off, she walked away with $0.
