    tire air dam changes

According to TSB-16-00-003 the 2017 Mirage has revised shape front tyre air dams,
and it now also has rear tyre air dams. The earlier ones didn't have any in the rear.

Could anybody post some pictures of both?

It's still dark here, the only thing I remember seeing on the 17's were little rubber flaps in front of the rear wheels that hang down an inch or two. For the front, I'll have to take another look and compare the two. I don't recall any difference but I was wrong once before.

See attached! The front dam is about 9-10" wide, and angled to push the air to the outside of the car. The rear one is like Fummins says, it's about 1.5" square and flat vertically and horizontally (unlike the front). All PP Plastic like the rest of the trim (not rubber, but still a little flexible).

Also, yes I know I need tires. First of the year, I promise! 29kmi on OE Yokohamas.

I forgot about the front ones, I don't see a difference between the 15's. They have one up front too but most of the ones on our cars are torn off.

Interesting... It's hard to believe those rear air dams are doing anything...but then again I'm not an aerodynamics expert.

Here's the comment from the TSB. I didn't know the rear spoiler shape changed for 2017...

I've got a 15' and 17 inside right now. The 15' has smaller rubber air flappers. They taper down towards the center to almost nothing on the 15' and down to 1 1/2" or so on the 17'. I'm still looking for a spoiler change.

So far only difference I found is 15' has a drain hole on the rh and lh side of the third brake light, 17 had one in the center.

Yeah, all this stuff is fractional improvement, but it all adds up.

Think: no magic bullet, but magic buckshot.

Yeah...they look pretty easy to add on, too. I tried looking them up on a Mitsubishi parts website but I can't find them.

The rubber flaps are riveted to the front bumper cover and the plastic rocker panels. I'm still wondering wth the difference is in the spoiler. I'll have to park the 2 side by side and pay attention.
