    Hello from Texas

Just wanted to introduce myself. Been lurking the site for a while now and decided to take the plunge on a hard-to-beat deal yesterday on A '15 Mirage ES hatch w/ 5-speed. Been eyeing this model for a year or more. I've wanted this car so long and can say I'm finally happy, like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, even though it was hard trading in the BMW (I grow way too attached to my cars). This isn't my first Mirage, but definitely my first 3-cylinder, however I knew what I was getting into, thanks to you guys (and gals). I'll upload photos of my ride later on. Thanks for having me!

    -Edward

Clearly you do not subscribe to any of the major US car review magazines.

Traded a Beemer, eh? I feel like we need to know more about your automotive decision-making.

Glad to have you here - welcome to the club!

    Darin

Those 85 mph highways might affect your mpg a touch lol! Also dont feel like you have to go full blast on the AC with the auto climate control. I live in Hotlanta and my 2014 cools down great after 10 mins with the fan on 2 bars @72°.

There was nothing wrong with the 1 Series, but I had some mid-life milestones (repairs) coming down the pipe so I wanted to jump ship while I still have good memories of her. I do all the work myself but even non-OEM parts for these cars can get expensive. (example: electric water pump).

Anything that Doug Demuro hates on is first on my list of cars to buy.

    Thanks for the welcome!
